ETS Services & College Visit Calendar

ETS Services Overview

The ETS program at CSU Channel Islands is committed to assisting participants in grades 6-12 with completing secondary school or its equivalent and enrolling in a post-secondary educational institution.  This is achieved by providing the following services: academic, career, personal and financial advising; disseminating college and financial aid information; and assisting in the completion of college admissions and financial aid forms.  ETS counselors meet with participants in regularly scheduled small group workshops during school, as well as in individual advising appointments.  All ETS services are free and offered during school hours at the student’s respective middle or high school.  More specifically, information is provided to students on the following topics:

  • Test Preparation
  • Study Skills
  • Goal Setting
  • And more!
  • College Exploration
  • College Preparation
  • College Application Assistance
  • Financial Aid/Scholarship Assistance
  • Field Trips to College Campuses and Museums
In addition, participation in pre-college programs such as ETS can strengthen a student’s application for admission to competitive college and college-level student support programs.

Please note that on the day of a college/museum visit all transportation, meals and tickets are free.
