CSUCI continuously strives towards creating a positive work environment, where our employees never need to compromise the care of their children, or parents, to accomplish their work, regardless of their family circumstances. We recognize that our faculty and staff are helping to change the face of higher education in Ventura County. Support and encouragement in both work and family are paramount in the successful accomplishment of this mission.
We encourage and seek to enhance 2-way communication across the campus, ensuring that concerns regarding work/life issues are addressed. We offer ongoing training and educational opportunities for our employees and their family members in work/life topics. Collectively we offer flexible work hours, return to work programs that support family responsibilities, time off to attend family events, and an employee assistance program encompassing various modes of referral and education. Annually, the campus provides work/life education for the community at large, through health, career, and vendor fairs.
