CSUCI Anticipates Record Crowd for May 19 Commencement, Parking Limited

Camarillo, Calif., May 9, 2007 – On Saturday, May 19 an extremely large crowd is expected for the 2007 California State University Commencement Ceremony. Due to this expectation, parking must be limited to two vehicles only per degree candidate. Degree candidates will be allowed to park on campus. Guest vehicles will be required to park at the designated location as indicated on the second permit each candidate was issued. Guests must park at the designated location indicated, as parking has been assigned. Maps showing directions to the designated parking locations have been mailed with each guest permit. From these locations guests will be provided a free shuttle service to the ceremony. This means all guests must arrive with suitable time for parking and transport to the campus.
 
Free VISTA bus transportation is also available to and from the campus at the following locations and departure and arrival times:
 
Camarillo Metrolink Station (Lewis Road): Travel times D7:30 a.m. - A7:40 a.m., D8 a.m. - A8:10 a.m., and D8:30 a.m. - A8:40 a.m.
Oxnard Centerpoint Mall (SCAT bus location is behind Mervyn's): D7 a.m. - A7:30 a.m., D8 a.m. - A8:30 a.m.
Oxnard College at E. Bard and Simpson: D7:05 a.m. - A7:30 a.m., D8:05 a.m. - A8:30 a.m.
