At CSU Channel Islands we recognize the importance of co-curricular activities and how they enhance the overall college experience. Greek Life is one area that allows students to establish bonds with fellow students, develop relationships with the campus and surrounding communities, and establish personal values such as trust, diversity, integrity, civility and leadership. While we recognize the value of Greek Life we want to ensure that the academic mission of our University is at the forefront of everything we do for our students. We are currently in the process of establishing the foundation for our Greek Life system. A University committee will be working to develop the mission for Greek Life and how it supports and enhances the University’s mission statement and goals. The committee will also develop procedures for the colonization of fraternities and sororities and a host of other aspects for creating a positive and successful Greek Life program. Students interested in starting a fraternity or sorority should contact Student Leadership Programs. We will help students with starting local chapters or other organizations that may fit their needs.
